This “Wabi-Sabi” imperfect cup is part of slip and glazing experiment with the green hue. Many pop culture especially Hollywood depicts green as devil or “ugly” perspective as we could see from the iconic appearance of Wicked Witch of the West in 1939 film The Wizard of Oz and Dr. Seuss’s “Grinch”. Representing this green cup reminds us of the beauty of algae, it’s not sublime yet but mysteriously beautiful.
